International Guitar Festival - 13a edizione

La Civica Orchestra di fiati “G. Verdi” – Città di Trieste in sinergia con il Conservatorio “G. Tartini” - Trieste e il Central Ostrobothnia Conservatory of Music - Kokkola (Finlandia) presenta l’International Guitar Festival che si terrà dal 10 al 19 aprile 2026 a Trieste. Il festival, giunto alla sua 13a edizione, avrà come protagonista la chitarra in tutte le sue sfaccettature. Grazie alla collaborazione tra gli enti e alla loro solidità organizzativa e artistica, oltre che una pluridecennale esperienza culturale sul territorio regionale e non solo, il Festival offrirà una vasta gamma di attività, ovvero:- Masterclass di chitarra classica (M° Frédéric Zigante, M° Pier Luigi Corona, M° Stefano Viola e altri maestri) e orchestra di chitarre: si terrà dal 10 al 19 aprile e prevede per ogni partecipante fino ad un massimo di 3 lezioni individuali e le lezioni collettive per l’orchestra di chitarre. Al momento dell’iscrizione il partecipante potrà segnalare delle preferenze per quello che riguarda la scelta del Maestro per le lezioni individuali;
- Quarta edizione del Concorso “Julian Bream”: si terrà dal 10 al 11 Aprile e sarà diviso in 5 categorie e rivolto a bambini e ragazzi dagli 8 ai 25 anni. Le categorie sono suddivise in base all’età; la categoria D è rivolta ai giovani concertisti che dovranno presentare un programma a libera scelta e un brano obbligatorio dal repertorio chitarristico. Invece la cat. E sarà dedicata alla Musica da Camera per chitarra. Per i vincitori delle categorie D ed E, oltre al premio e all’esibizione nel concerto finale, verrà data la possibilità di esibirsi all’interno di un evento musicale organizzato dalla Civica Orchestra di fiati “G. Verdi” – Città di Trieste. La giuria del concorso sarà composta da 5 giurati ovvero Matteo Firmi, Pier Luigi Corona, Frédéric Zigante, Laurentiu Claudiu Stoica, Ivan Semenzato. Poi a seconda dell’organizzazione anche delle concomitanti attività, i nominativi dei giurati ruoteranno;
- Concerti “The Art of Transcription - Baroque” (Stoica-Semenzato Guitar Duo), Concerto dei vincitori del Concorso “J. Bream”, Concerto dell’ Orchestra di chitarre e degli allievi partecipanti alla Masterclass;
- Conferenza “Heitor Villa-Lobos - Opere per chitarra: le nuove edizioni” tenuta dal mo Frédéric Zigante, docente di chitarra e ricercatore presso il Conservatorio di Musica “G. Verdi” - Milano;
- Mostra di liuteria con presentazione delle chitarre AIERSI a cura del mº Salvatore Seminara, rappresentante Aiersi esclusivo per l'Italia;
- Workshop interattivo “Armonia Jazz nel repertorio chitarristico latino-americano” tenuto dal mo Kimmo Vuolteenaho, docente di chitarra presso Central Ostrobothnia Conservatory of Music - Kokkola (Finlandia).

Civica Orchestra di fiati “G. Verdi” – Città di Trieste together with Conservatorio di Musica “G. Tartini” - Trieste and Central Ostrobothnia Conservatory of Music - Kokkola (Finlandia) presents the International Guitar Festival that will be held from 10 to 19 April 2026 in Trieste (Italy). The festival, now in its 13th edition, will feature the guitar in all its aspects and will offer a wide range of activities, namely:- Classical guitar masterclass (Mo Frédéric Zigante, M° Pier Luigi Corona, M° Stefano Viola and other teachers) and guitar orchestra: it will be held from 10 to 19 April and will offer up to 3 individual lessons for each participant and group lessons for guitar orchestra. At the time of registration, participants can indicate preferences regarding the choice of the teacher for individual lessons;
- Fourth edition of the “Julian Bream” competition: will be held from 10 to 11 April, divided into 5 categories reserved to guitarists aged 8 to 25 years. The categories are divided by age ;Cat.D is aimed at young concert guitarists that will have to present a freely chosen music program and a compulsory piece from the guitar repertoire, while Cat.E will be dedicated to Chamber Music with guitar. The 1st absolute winners of D and E categories, in addition to the prize and the performance in the final concert, will be given the opportunity to perform in a musical event organised by Civica Orchestra di Fiati “G. Verdi”. The jury of the competition will be composed of 5 jurors: Matteo Firmi, Pier Luigi Corona, Frédéric Zigante, Laurentiu Stoica, Ivan Semenzato. Then, depending on the organisation of the concomitant activities, the jurors will rotate;
- Concerts: “The Art of Transcription - Baroque” (Stoica-Semenzato Guitar Duo), Winners of “J. Bream” Guitar Competition, Guitar Orchestra Concert and participants at the Masterclass;
- Conference: “Heitor Villa-Lobos - Guitar Works: new editions” held by mo Frédéric Zigante, guitar teacher and researcher at Conservatorio di Musica “G. Verdi” - Milano;
- 3 Guitar Exhibition: with presentation of AIERSI guitars held by Mº Salvatore Seminara, exclusive Aiersi representative for Italy;
- 3 Workshop: “Jazz harmony in the Latin-American Guitar Repertoire” held by mo Kimmo Vuolteenaho, guitar teacher at Central Ostrobothnia Conservatory of Music - Kokkola (Finlandia).
